The Community Group Loans Policy

Council at its meeting of 10 June 2025, resolved to place the Community Group Loans Policy on public exhibition.

The revised policy is available for viewing on Council’s website at https://www.portstephens.nsw.gov.au/council/public-exhibitions or for enquiries telephone Council on 4988 0255.

The revised policy will be on exhibition from 11 June 2025 to 8 July 2025.

2025-2026 Fees and Charges

Council at its meeting of 10 June 2025, adopted a matter arising. It is moved that Council:

  • Places on public exhibition a proposal to amend the ‘Entry – Spectator’ fee for all Aquatic Centres to read $2.00 in the Fees and Charges.
  • Public exhibition will occur for 28 days, and should no submissions be received, the changes to the ‘Entry – Spectator’ fees will be adopted without a further report to Council. Should this occur, the amount will be fixed at that rate, and only able to be amended through a Council resolution.

Public notices

Notice of intention to treat infestations of aquatic weeds

Notice is given that Port Stephens Council intends to treat infestations of aquatic weeds on or in water in the Campvale Drain and portions of the following rivers occurring in the Port Stephens Council Local Government Area:

  • Hunter River and tributaries from Raymond Terrace to the confluence of the Paterson River.
  • Paterson River and tributaries from the confluence of the Hunter River upstream to the Port Stephens Council boundary.
  • Williams River and tributaries upstream from Raymond Terrace to the Port Stephens Council boundary.

Herbicides containing active ingredient 600g/kg Metsulfuron methyl and/or active ingredient 360g/l glyphosate will be used.

Residents in the treatment area should not use, drink or swim in the water during the period of treatment. Small scale reapplications may occur within 30 days of the date of the original treatment. Any further enquiries may be directed to Council on 4988 0255 or 4988 0392.
